Tool

Riskmonitor is a digital platform that serves as a repository for the disaster risk management studies’ results developed by the Inter-American Development Bank for its member countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. This information contributes to a better knowledge of disaster risk and the main facets of public policy in risk management

System of indicators

The System of Indicators is composed of five indicators that allow representing the risk of disasters and their management at the national level, as well as their temporal evolution in each country. These indicators facilitate the understanding of essential aspects of disaster risk and its management from different perspectives: normative, institutional, budgetary, territorial, social, economic, financial and public policy.

Results

Riskmonitor includes the results of the application of the System of Indicators. This System of Indicators has been applied periodically since 2005 in the 26 member countries of the IDB in Latin America and the Caribbean.
